How to Deal with Anxiety and Stress

Emotional Stress is a Normal Reaction to Pressure

Worry, fear, anger, sadness are all normal emotional responses. They are all part of life. However, if the stress that underlies these emotions interferes with your ability to do the things you want or need to do, then your stress has become unhealthy.

Symptoms of emotional stress include:

Being more emotional than usual

Feeling overwhelmed or on edge

Episodes of sadness

Trouble keeping track of things or remembering

Trouble making decisions, solving problems, concentrating or getting your work done.

Using alcohol or drugs to relieve your emotional stress.

If you have any of the symptoms of emotional stress and haven’t found relief, it's time to work together to get the roots of the cause and not just address the symptoms.

If you feel overwhelmed, sadness and can’t manage your emotions and stresses on your own, let's unpack your story and make sense of the pieces that are generating these uncomfortable feelings.

Anxiety stress and sadness are typically indicators that something inside of you needs attention and resolution. Our work together is to discover, process and resolve what's driving your emotional stress.

Don’t stay “frozen” or "stuck" feeling like you’re holding your breath waiting for your feelings to be over or go away (which is common in panic or anxiety attacks).

If you are stuck in a rut and can’t get yourself out, let's get you the help you need.

As a trained professional, I can help you find ways to cope, and/or reduce the effects of emotional stress, gain personal insight and awareness, feel better and become more functional in your day-to-day activities.
